Website checkout needs a known buyer-facing shipping amount. If Studio Operations cannot determine that amount from the artwork’s shipping settings, the artwork can fall back to an inquiry or arrangement path instead of taking payment online.
Shipping choices that can work with checkout
- Included in the price gives checkout a shipping amount of zero.
- Charged separately works when you enter an exact buyer-facing shipping amount for that artwork.
Shipping choices that do not provide a fixed checkout amount
Ask me for a quote and unresolved shipping do not provide a number that checkout can charge automatically.
The studio-wide Worked out per order setting is also not an automatic carrier-rate calculation. Farbase does not contact a carrier or calculate a live rate for you.
Fix the artwork
- Open the artwork.
- Open its Price settings.
- Review the buyer-facing shipping option.
- Choose included shipping or enter an exact separate buyer charge if direct checkout is required.
- Save the artwork and recheck the public purchase path.
Keep your private shipping cost separate
The amount shipping costs you and the amount you charge the buyer are different fields. Your private cost does not automatically become the buyer’s checkout charge.
