When someone sends an inquiry from a public artwork page, Studio Operations keeps that interest connected to both the person and the artwork.
What Studio Operations records
- Studio Operations saves the inquiry itself so the original message is not lost.
- It creates a People record for the person, or connects the inquiry to an existing matching person.
- It links the inquiry to the artwork the person asked about.
- It records an artwork-interest relationship so you can see who has shown interest in that work.
An inquiry does not mean the artwork has been sold, and it does not complete a payment. If the relationship moves forward, you can offer a private price or later record a sale.
Email notification
If Someone asks about a work is turned on under Settings → Account, Studio Operations also emails the studio through Farbase’s transactional email service. The message comes from Studio Operations <notifications@farbase.one> and uses the visitor’s email as the reply address, so pressing Reply goes back to the person who asked about the work.
If the message arrived at the wrong inbox, check where Studio Operations notifications are sent.
Where to continue
Use People and the artwork’s Who wants it information to add notes, follow up, create a private price where appropriate, or later connect a sale.
Find a message
Open Messages in the sidebar, or the Messages tab in People. Use the Find box to search by name, email, artwork or words in the message. Messages shows 25 records per page; use the page controls for further matches and Show all to clear the search.
