Who wants it shows the people who have expressed interest in a particular artwork. It is the artwork-side view of the relationship that also appears in People.
When someone uses the public inquiry form
Studio Operations records the inquiry, connects it to the artwork, and connects the sender to a People record using their email address.
If that email address is new, Studio Operations creates a new interested person. If the person already exists in People, the inquiry is attached to the existing contact instead.
The artwork interest is recorded too
The person is added to the artwork’s interest records with the level Interested, and their inquiry message is kept with that connection.
This is why the same public inquiry can appear in more than one useful place: the message reaches the studio, the person is available in People, and the artwork shows who has asked about it.
It is not a sale
Interest does not mark an artwork as Sold or Being held. If the collector wants to move forward, you can create a private price. A real transaction belongs in Sales.
