Start from Add a work in the left sidebar. You do not need every detail before you begin.
Enter what you know
- Enter the title. It is required if you choose to save the unfinished work as a Draft.
- Add any facts you already know, such as category, subject, year, dimensions, materials, weight and style. Do not guess.
- Add the main image and any other artwork images you want to keep with the record.

Describe the idea, inspiration, meaning, mood, materials, process, or any detail the image cannot explain. When you want Studio Operations to finish the entry, write at least 10 actual words.

Studio Operations saves the artwork and prepares editable caption, description and search text from the main image, the facts you entered and your private note. You can edit the result later.
No, save as draft
The artwork is saved privately, but Studio Operations does not finish the entry. When you are ready to continue, use:
Your works → open the unfinished artwork
Finish the missing information there. If several details are still missing, use Get an incomplete artwork from Draft to Published.
Preview this entry in gallery
This button is also shown in the Add a work panel. Use it to inspect the current entry privately. Previewing does not publish the artwork.
After Studio Operations finishes the entry
To review or change the prepared writing later, use:
Your works → open the artwork → Words
Read the caption, description and search text carefully and edit anything you want. Publishing is a separate action.
If something is interrupted
The artwork may already be saved. Before creating another record, use:
Your works → look for the artwork you just added
Open that record and continue from there rather than creating a duplicate.
