Availability tells Studio Operations what the current selling state of an artwork is. It is one of the eight requirements checked before a Draft can be published.
The current availability choices
- For sale means the work is available to a collector.
- Being held means the work is being kept for someone for now but has not been sold.
- Sold means the work has been sold.
- Not for sale means the work is not currently being offered for purchase.
- Not set means you have not chosen an availability yet.
A work cannot be published until an availability has been selected.
Change the availability
Follow Change an artwork’s availability. It shows the exact Price tab, Right now it is menu, choices, and Save price button.
If someone is interested but has not bought the work
Use Being held when you want the artwork kept for someone temporarily. See Mark an artwork as being held.
If a real sale happened
Do not only change the artwork to Sold to make the screen look right. Record the transaction in Sales so the collector, amount, payment state, shipping and paperwork stay connected.
