Use Make a copy of this work when a new work shares enough information with an existing artwork that starting from a copy is faster. You can copy a sample artwork to explore it, but the copy and its example images remain private until you replace every example image and complete the artwork with your own information.
Make the copy
- Look at the left sidebar in Studio Operations and click Your works.
- Open the artwork you want to copy.
- Choose the History tab.
- Find Make a separate copy.
- Click Make a copy of this work.
Studio Operations creates a new artwork record and copies the artwork information and image files from the original.
What changes automatically
- The copied title begins with Copy of, such as Copy of Venenatis.
- The new record gets its own inventory ID.
- The copy is saved as a Draft.
- Availability is reset to Not set.
- The copy is hidden from your website.
Before you publish the copy
Change the facts that belong to the new work, review the copied images, set its availability, and publish only when it is ready. If Publish is blocked, use Why can I not publish this artwork?. If the copied images are wrong or in the wrong order, use Reorder or remove artwork images.
